Whereas, by Notification No. LSGD/PD/24269/2024-EER1 dated 06.09.2024, published in Extraordinary Gazette No. 2888 dated 07.09.2024 by the Director of Local Self Government Department (Rural), the number of seats to be filled through direct election in Thennala Grama Panchayat of Malappuram District was fixed at 19;
And whereas, based on the said determination, draft proposals for dividing the said Grama Panchayat into 19 electoral wards (constituencies) and for fixing the boundaries of those wards were published through Notification No. SDC/817/2024/SDC4 dated 18.11.2024;
And whereas, time was allowed up to 04.12.2024 for submitting objections and suggestions regarding the said proposals, and the objections and suggestions received were duly examined, the complainants were heard in person, and the matters were considered and disposed of;
Therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred under Section 10 of the Kerala Panchayat Raj Act, 1994, the Thennala Grama Panchayat has been divided into 19 electoral wards and the boundaries thereof have been determined as shown in the schedule annexed hereto, and a final order is hereby issued accordingly.
